Tachi Palace Fight Pics
July 23rd, 2010 - Lemoore, CA - The scorching summer heat was an intense 110 degrees at the Tachi Palace and Casino. Fans tried to keep cool with concession stands nearby, but the fighters had to battle against the sun as well as their opponent. With the event being broadcasted on ESPN2, fighters knew they had to “put on a good show”. And that’s exactly what Goossen Tutor’s Beibut Shumenov did…with a fan base from his native country Kazakhstan cheering him on. Beibut quickly rebounded from a flash knockdown in early rounds to winning a “Rocky-like” decision. Despite the heat, fans left Tachi Palace satisfied.

Dave Patten Got Game!
“JESUS, JESUS, JESUS” chanted the crowd at Washington Park in Los Angeles, CA. A highlight reel of dunks performed by Dave Patten, a tall “white-boy” who resembles the look of “Jesus” handles and moves like a guard, but runs the post with authority like Chris Bosh. As the crowd continues to cheer, Dave modestly shrugs it off and smirks at me. NBA scouts keep an eye on this guy, he’s got professional experience, plays smart, and has a good attitude towards the game. Dave just might be your team’s “diamond in the rough”.
